What is reiki? does it work?
Rei, meaning "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power," and Ki, which is "life force energy," Reiki is "spiritually guided life force energy." This non-invasive sacred healing practice uses the power of universal energy, channeled from the healer's hands to you or your animal, to inspire healing, both emotionally and physically.
Anything living has energy and can benefit from reiki. Humans, animals, and even plants. Reiki is so effective that it is one of the top three complementary in-patient therapies in U.S. hospitals, including the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and Johns Hopkins.
Even the American Kennel Club endorses reiki to help your animals and numerous studies have shown that reiki can benefit plants as well.

WHAT IF I HAVE MULTIPLE ANIMALS IN THE HOUSE?
Even if you're looking to get reiki for just 1 specific animal, allowing others to join in won’t take anything away from the animal who is the main focus of the appointment. In fact, the other animal might also need some healing you weren't aware of and it's a great way to give that to them as well.
Can I be present during the Reiki session with my animal(s)?
Absolutely! Being involved can be a great way for the caregivers to bond more closely with their animals.
Can you guarantee that you’ll fix my animal's problem?
Each animal and their situation are different, so much like a doctor no healer can make that promise. Though most animals embrace the reiki energy and are happy to allow it to help them, the speed and level at which it helps will be different for every living thing. Reiki is also not a replacement for necessary veteranary care. So, I will do everything I can to help your animal be relaxed and have the best reiki outcomes possible.
WHAT DOES AN ANIMAL REIKI SESSION LOOK LIKE?
All living things respond differently. There is no need to change their daily routine to get reiki, so they may be relaxing in a bed, maybe standing, or eating in a pasture. They may wander around as if nothing is happening, become more relaxed, and decide to nap.
The most common reaction I have gotten with wild, farm, or zoo animals is that they tend to stop what they are doing and just zone out. Cats and dogs will often relax and sometimes fall asleep.
Since reiki is not done by touch, there is no need to touch your animal physically. I might sit across the room from them, doing different hand positions in the air, to feel their energy and move the reiki to certain locations. If the animal is okay with being touched, I may hover my hands over them to accomplish the same thing. Some animals enjoy being physically close during reiki sessions. It's all up to them.
HOW DO VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS WORK?
Virtual consultations are great for shy and scaredy "cats." If your animal acts out of character or hides when strangers are around, then this is the perfect option. The other reason would be that you live too far from me to travel to you. This type of session would be done via Zoom, so I can still see your animal, but it won't be disruptive to them. They would continue about their day while I would watch them while sending reiki the same as I would from across the room in your home.

I'm Erin, and I am so glad we found each other. I was born with intuitive and healing gifts that I half acknowledged and half blew off until my late 20s. A decade later found my path, and never looked back. I am a healer and a teacher who believes in God but doesn't adhere to any specific religion. Only the idea of being a good person, spreading love, and helping when you can.
I have a special place in my heart for those who don't get their own voice, animals. So, when I decided to lean into the healer aspect of myself and found reiki, it opened a whole new world of how to heal those who can't always tell you that they might need it.

Ordained minister
Erin is a legal ordained minister with the Universal Life Church. She is able to officiate marriages, perform baptisms, preside over funerals, and conduct any other religious ceremony of your choosing.

The day Erin came over and did reiki for the 19 resuce cats/kittens they all slept for the whole afternoon. Normally it's so loud, but we didn't hear a meow for hours. after a week of 30 minute session they have become more comfortable, playful, better with being touched and are coming out of their scared shells.
