What is reiki? does it work?
Reiki is "spiritually guided life force energy." A non-invasive sacred healing practice that uses the power of universal energy, channeled from the healer's hands to help activate the body's natural healing processes.
Everything alive has energy — and Reiki supports that energy. Whether it’s a person, a dog, or even your plants, Reiki can bring a sense of calm and harmony.
In fact, Reiki is one of the top three complementary therapies used in U.S. hospitals, and the American Kennel Club recognizes it as a helpful wellness tool for pets. Studies have even shown it may benefit plant growth!

Stress and Anxiety Reduction
Can be particularly helpful for animals dealing with separation anxiety, fear of loud noises, or stress from a change in their environment.
Pain Relief
From injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions like arthritis. Reiki helps the body’s natural healing process promoting faster recovery and reducing discomfort. As well as boost the immune system, improve circulation, and balance energy within the body.
Emotional Healing
From abuse, abandonment, or stressful experiences. Reiki can help release pent-up emotions and bring emotional balance, helping the animal feel more secure and content.

Reiki may help with aggressive behavior, fear-based responses, or hyperactivity by promoting a sense of calm and stability. Reiki can help them focus, reduce anxiety, and improve their ability to learn.

Can I be present during the Reiki session with my animal(s)?
Absolutely! Being involved can be a great way for the caregivers to bond more closely with their animals.
Can you guarantee that you’ll fix my animal's problem?
It's important to understand that Reiki is a complementary healing practice, not a replacement for medical treatment or a quick fix for every problem. Its main purpose is to promote balance, relaxation, and healing by helping the body and mind return to a state of equilibrium, but the results can vary depending on the individual animal and their specific condition.
WHAT DOES AN ANIMAL REIKI SESSION LOOK LIKE?
All living things respond differently. There is no need to change their daily routine to get reiki, so they may be relaxing in a bed, maybe standing, or eating in a pasture. They may wander around as if nothing is happening, become more relaxed, and decide to nap.
The most common reaction I have gotten with wild, farm, or zoo animals is that they tend to stop what they are doing and just zone out. Cats and dogs will often laydown relax and sometimes fall asleep.
Since reiki is not done by touch, there is no need to touch your animal physically. I might sit across the room from them, doing different hand positions in the air, to feel their energy and move the reiki to certain locations. If the animal is okay with being touched, I may hover my hands over them to accomplish the same thing. Some animals enjoy being physically close during reiki sessions. It's all up to them.
The animals are always in charge. They dictate not only the physical distance between us, but how long the session goes on. Animals are far more in tune with the energy, what it's doing and what they need.
HOW DO VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS WORK?
Virtual consultations are great for shy and scaredy "cats." If your animal acts out of character or hides when strangers are around, then this is the perfect option. The other reason would be that you live too far from me to travel to you. This type of session would be done via Zoom, so I can still see your animal, but it won't be disruptive to them. They would continue about their day while I would watch them while sending reiki the same as I would from across the room in your home.

Hi, I’m Erin — and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve always had a natural connection to healing and intuition, though for a long time I only half paid attention to it. It wasn’t until my late 20s that I really started to lean in, and about a decade later, I found my path — and haven’t looked back.
I’m a healer and a teacher. I believe in God, but I don’t follow any specific religion. I just try to live by simple rules: be kind, spread love, and help where you can.
Animals have always held a special place in my heart — especially because they don’t always get a voice of their own. That’s what drew me to Reiki. It gave me a way to connect with animals on an energetic level and support their healing in a gentle, intuitive way — even when they can’t tell us what they need out loud.
I’d be honored to hold space for your animals and support them however I can.
A little about me:
I'm a certified Usui Holy Fire® Reiki Master Practitioner and Master Animal Reiki Practitioner through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). I’m also a certified Spiritual Life Coach, intuitive psychic, and spiritual teacher — with a B.A. in Psychology and a general student of life.

Erin is a legal ordained minister with the Universal Life Church. She is able to officiate marriages, perform baptisms, preside over funerals, and conduct any other religious ceremony of your choosing.

Smudging is a spiritual practice that involves the burning of sacred plants or herbs, to cleanse or purify a space, person, or object. The smoke is believed to carry away negative energy. It can also be used to maintain positive vibes in your home. It can be done in a new home before moving in to remove any lingering energy left by previous owners. *Contact for pricing
Every animal is unique — and so is every situation. That’s why I offer flexibility in each session. Whether your pet needs a little extra time to warm up, prefers hands-off energy work, or has special circumstances, I’m happy to adjust the session to what works best for both of you.

The day Erin came over and did reiki for the 19 resuce cats/kittens they all slept for the whole afternoon. Normally it's so loud, but we didn't hear a meow for hours. after a week of 30 minute session they have become more comfortable, playful, better with being touched and are coming out of their scared shells.
